This is a Contract position in Vancouver, BC posted September 19, 2017.

Our client is one of the Canadian leaders in commercial sector corrosion and abrasion products and concrete flooring.  They service large industrial and commercial facilities from branches throughout Canada and are a well known house brand.  Their products are known for their dependability, performance and safety.  They are looking for a central Vancouver Sales Representative to foster relationships with industrial and commercial facilities throughout their territory.  Growing the territory and increasing sales revenues in the region are paramount in the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES/SERVICES
70% cold calling to generate new leads and client accounts with industrial and commercial facilities.  These include schools, hospitals, public recreation facilities, manufacturing and processing companies.
20% maintaining relationships with existing clients and soliciting purchase orders in the assigned territory.
10% Project management / coordination is a key function of the role.  Managing subcontractor timelines, project budgets and delivery is part of the role as well as constant negotiation of deliverables to client.
Command control over proposals and presentations to senior level decision makers.

Estimating, quoting and responding to tenders in an appropriate fashion.
Adhere to sales goals and targets directed by management.
Manage data of pricing, sales and activity report.

Daily commute throughout your territory.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
A construction sales professional is a must.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
3-5 years plus experience in B2B Sales in the construction sector, selling to end users is preferred however contractor sales is also valued.
Prior background as a tradesperson or any other relevant industrial/construction experience will be looked upon highly. 
Ability to read blueprints, construction related drawings and estimating will be preferred.  You will need to understand the construction process.
Hunter mentality–the ability to leverage on relationships from an onsite cold call and nurture these to close on business deals in a timely fashion.
 
THE DOLLARS
$65-70K base plus commissions.  Total compensation – $100-120K.  Car allowance provided plus mileage, cellphone , laptop, benefits.
