Job Description

It’s no secret that the food industry is growing rapidly. Now is your chance to capitalize on a professional salesperson role with one of the largest seafood distribution companies in Canada.

Leverage your experience! We are looking for professional salespeople to develop our:

· Retail food chain sector, and/ or

· Food service industry (restaurants).

Through our global network of suppliers, we source the finest seafood from all corners of the world!

Your Role:

· You will develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve sales in your designated sector.

· Manage the entire sales process from lead generation, prospecting, closing and ongoing service.

· Establish, develop and maintain a friendly rapport with key buyers, chefs, decisions makers, purchasers and industry influencers.

· Leverage your sales experience and food service network to generate lead pipelines and build your client base.

· Gain an understanding of current and prospective customers’ purchasing needs, habits and buying motive. Use this information to promote fresh and frozen seafood sales and added value products / services.

Success Factors:

· Post-Secondary education in sales, marketing, business admin or culinary.

· Seafood industry experience from a retail, import/export, or food service background.

· Strong command of the English language and able to influence others effectively.

· Established client base in the independent retail market or restaurant sectors.

· Motivated, coachable, self-starter; with the desire to grow business sales.

Requirements:

· Valid Driver’s license

· Post-Secondary Education or equivalent experience.

· 2-3 years’ experience in a B2B sales role, retail chain sales, or distribution operations experience.

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite

· 1+ years’ experience in the seafood sector is an asset.
