Nine Reasons to Consider a Career in a Copy Account

As a curious graduate, a career in copiers is probably not what you dreamed of when you drew all-nighters to hit all dreaded final examinations. After seven years of experience as Account Executive and Sales Manager at two different copier organizations, I often wondered what a smart choice in this field was for me and many colleagues. Before you are aware of the open jobs on the online workplaces, consider why you might want to run a career as a copier:

1. Many new graduates and career changers choose a career in copier selling exclusively for world-class training available. Usually a new rep is sent for two weeks of classroom training, followed by training with your sales manager and fellow salespeople. This is a valuable training that is FREE.

2. The knowledge gained as a successful copier exporter can open the door for more lucrative opportunities in the sale of pharmaceuticals, software, medical equipment and financial services, to name just a few.

3. A representative of 100% of the annual sales quota amounts to $ 60,000- $ 80,000 per annum in basic salary, commissions and bonuses. It is not uncommon for a top performer to exceed more than $ 100,000 + per year in revenue.

4. Depending on your individual sales manager, you can enjoy high levels of autonomy and flexibility at work.

5. If you consider yourself enterprising, this is the job for you! Your territory is like owning your own business and your goal is to maximize sales within your assigned limits. The skills you learn on this course are an excellent preparation for owning your own business.

6. If you want an increase, give yourself by selling more copiers. There is nothing like a payroll for performance work environment! After that, you will never be able to tolerate a paycheck where someone else limits your money potential.

7. Most companies offer benefits, promotions and sales incentive trips for their top performers. Personally, the cost for all expenses for two was the best part for me. You and a guest enjoy all the amenities of a Five Star Resort to places such as the Bahamas, England, Cancun, Scotland or Hawaii. It's a great way to travel the world for free!

8. Each company needs a copier. However, depending on your assignment, you will not only speak to dentists all day. In the morning you can meet with the Office Manager at a defense company, an IT Manager at a clothing manufacturer at lunch and the CFO of an entertainment company in the afternoon. You get exposure to many different industries and functional areas of a company. This not only makes for a better job, it is also an excellent way for networks with many different professionals. Who knows what opportunities can cause your networking business in the future?

9. As much as you did, you could really enjoy the copier and want to follow a long-term career in the industry. As you show exceptional sales results, you will likely be promoted and rewarded with increasing responsibilities. The career path has a fork in the way you need to decide if you want to run Account Management or Sales Management.

A candidate who enjoys the sales process and has a bit of a loner ranger usually chooses his work to bigger and better accounts as a major accountant or national accountant. Sometimes a Representative is assigned a Vertical Market, such as law firms, where he is the specialist to sell solely to the legal vertical market. The other way to go is Sales Management.

You are promoted to manage a team of six to eight gentlemen and after exceptionally consistent performance, you can run your own market as Branch Director and 100-200 sales and service staff. The most ambitious Branch Directors are aiming to end in the corner office as vice chairman. The reality of the situation is that if you want to move the corporate ladder, you must prove at some point that you can do things effectively by other people. This is best achieved by a Sales Manager role.
