Although in the 1980s the demand for civil engineers decreased a little, it has become important and today it is one of the hottest career domains. The demand for civil engineers is expected to reach 2030. According to a report by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), the country will need about 76.5 million skilled workers in the thriving construction, and real estate sector in India. It may surprise you, but in 2000 and 2013, the industry has committed 40.399 million USD as foreign direct investment (FDI). It is also expected that the FDI will increase and attract 180 billion USD by 2020. In fact, capital investment in the sector is expected to amount to USD 1,181 billion in 2019-2010 of USD 651 billion in 2012-13.

In addition, with the governor's stimulus in fast tracking investment in oil and gas infrastructure projects, electricity, telecommunications, the job creation process in engineering, construction and procurement has accelerated.

Since these sectors are the typical civil engineering engineers, civil engineering jobs are expected to grow exponentially in the near future. It would be good to say that civil engineers in India have fun employment and are always on the employer's priority list.
